I'm the one in the hat, for clarification

I am a motivated animator focusing on CGI, while drawing from my experience in traditional animation. I graduated from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, in 2021.

How I Got Started

When I was a kid my parents had gotten me a DSI for my birthday. I was looking to see if there were any free games, and ended up downloading Flipnote Hatena. This was a basic animation app where you could frame by frame animate; as well view animations made by others. From there I learned about anime and thought "This is what I want to do in life."

When I got to highschool, I took art and a CAD class, as my electives. The curriculum was to learn basic architecture, engineering, 3D printing and animation; using Autodesk programs. I thought we'd be learning 2D animation, but it ended up being 3D. I learned that I loved 3D and became very passionate about it.

After graduating high school, I attended the Massachusetts College of Art and Design for a BFA in animation. I chose Massart due to locality, finances, and its animation program. Massart's program was not 3D centric, so I continue to self teach and will always take suggestions from those who have them. Unfortunately I finished college and graduated peak Covid, due to this, I feel I was set back a bit as I was unable to use and learn the Mocap tech available for seniors. Additionally no internships were offered post grad due to the pandemic, to my disappointment I no longer qualify. Instead I've been watching many tutorials and trading techniques with my peers and through in the animation community.

What Influenced Me

My childhood was filled with watching Toy Story 2 on repeat, and my mom teaching me to play Splinter Cell on the original Xbox. When I was old enough to take note of craft it was in Watching Attack Of the Clones, and feeling immersed in a new world. Being amazed by the realisticness, yet depth of emotion, displayed by Aslan the lion; in The Chronicles of Narnia. Even today I am swept off my feed by what continues to be produced. Some of my favorites being Read Dead Redemption 2, which had me in awe with its addictive story and breathtaking graphics. Into The Spider Verse, whos mixed media technique was revolutionary.

About Me

I’ve humbly been described as funny, persistent, and loyal. I grew up in Connecticut and prefer the cold over heat. I want to travel, to experience new things and learn from different cultures. I love digital media; video games, movies, Tv, ect.. I also enjoy gardening, hiking, swimming, riding horses, writing, reading comics, or trying to teach myself something new. My professional life is centered around computers however I also adore nature and the outdoors. Animals are a big part of my interest, as a teen I would volunteer on a farm in Easton and at the New York Wolf Conservation Center; educating people and doing tours, and monitoring the wolves from a respectable distance. Now as an adult I work part time on a local farm. I care for horses, pigs, alpacas, goats, chickens, pigs, quail, ducks, and 4 large rabbits. I also teach riding lessons, work our farmers markets, grow small crops and occasionally help piglets take their first breaths.

Artists are storytellers, only the medium changes.

From cave paintings to computer generations.
